By 2023, SBB will be constructing the new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.luechingermeyer.ch\/en\/project\/stellwerk-2-winterthur\/\">Signal Station 2<\/a> with seventy apartments, two office floors, shops and restaurants as well as 500 bicycle parking spaces in the basement. In the project competition, L\u00fcchinger+Meyer was involved in the structural and fa\u00e7ade planning of the ARGE <a href=\"https:\/\/min.swiss\/\">Made In<\/a> \/ <a href=\"http:\/\/www.caretta-weidmann.ch\/\">Caretta+Weidmann<\/a> team. Unfortunately, the design &#8220;Equilibrum&#8221; had to be content with the 2nd rank in the final cleaning round. Nevertheless, we are pleased about this excellent placement in this demanding process and the jury&#8217;s appreciation of the &#8220;architecturally expressive language&#8221; of the project.<\/p>\n<p>The supporting structure formed the generator of the building typology of the design.
