The completion of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.luechingermeyer.ch\/en\/project\/ersatzneubau-stuessistrasse-58-66-ilanzhof-zuerich\/\">replacement building at St\u00fcssistrasse 58-66<\/a>, based on the competition project of the same name by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swiss-architects.com\/en\/chebbi-thomet-bucher-architektinnen-ag-zurich\">Chebbi | Thomet | Bucher Architects<\/a>, marked the start of the redevelopment of the &#8220;Ilanzhof&#8221; in Zurich-Unterstrass. The housing estate was built in 1928-1930 according to plans by architect Paul Schumacher. The 335 apartments no longer meet today&#8217;s needs and are to be replaced in stages. The first new replacement building on the site, which has now been realized, has a model character in this context.<br \/>\nThe competition project had already formulated the goal of resource-saving and low greenhouse gas construction in accordance with the guidelines of the 2000-watt society.
