The fact that the only bad weather day in the last few weeks of January coincided with our ski day dampened our enthusiasm for winter sports in Grindelwald a bit. Although the misty panorama between the Eiger, M\u00f6nch and Jungfrau provided a picturesque backdrop for a Caspar David Friedrich painting, it didn&#8217;t promise much fun on the slopes. But you shouldn&#8217;t blame the day before the evening: Up close, the conditions were far less uncomfortable than feared.
