The Tschuepis area is located on the western edge of the settlement of Littau, close to the town centre. The future urban expansion envisages a residential development that extends to the edge of the slope on the plateau of the Littau settlement area. The \u00abFr\u00fchling\u00bb project by the team led by <a href=\"https:\/\/luetolfundscheuner.ch\/\">L\u00fctolf and Scheuner Architekten<\/a> won the study contract from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wgl.lu\/\">WGL housing cooperative<\/a>. They are developing two compact U-shaped building volumes for the 99 flats, which have four storeys on the valley side and three storeys on the courtyard side. A natural landscape surrounds the new residential buildings.<br \/>\n\u00abThe qualities of the project proposal in all relevant assessment criteria are impressive and convincing, in particular the high quality of living and the two-sided orientation of all the units as well as the good views from the majority of them,\u00bb was the jury&#8217;s verdict.<br \/>\nThe structural concept in timber-concrete mixed construction, developed by the Lucerne-based structural planners from L\u00dcCHINGER MEYER PARTNER in collaboration with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pirminjung.ch\/\">Pirmin Jung Switzerland<\/a>, was also explicitly praised: \u00abThe optimised spans, reduced ceiling thicknesses, concrete columns and featured pergolas in concrete elements together with the prefabricated fa\u00e7ade elements in timber construction are economical, energy-efficient, resource-saving and enable a short construction time.\u00bb<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>An exceptionally panoramic living experience awaits the future residents of the Jodersmatt Bennenegg development in Lucerne.
