Zumikon residents have been gathering here for four decades \u2013 in the leisure centre, chapel, parish hall, library, community hall and many other rooms, they find universal opportunities for exchange and cultural interaction. After more than 40 years of operation, the building complex now needs to be thoroughly renovated.<br \/>\nIn preparation for the vote on the loan, all residents were invited to visit the old GZZ last Saturday and discover the plans for the redesign. The \u2018renovation\u2019 goes far beyond a mere restoration and refurbishment of the existing building. With targeted conversions and additions, the complex will be expanded into a diverse, modern community centre \u2013 for example, by converting the vacant \u2018G\u00fcggel\u2019 restaurant into an attractive foyer for the community hall, adding a new terrace on the roof of the community hall and upgrading G\u00fcggelplatz square.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Zumikon Community Centre is the heart of the community as a central meeting place.
