The new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.luechingermeyer.ch\/project\/ankunftshalle-bahnhof-st-gallen\/\" rel=\"noopener\">arrival hall<\/a> \u2013 the core of the redesign of the railway station and station square St. Gallen \u2013 is completed. &#8220;Akari&#8221; was the name of the successfull competition design, created by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.giulianihoenger.ch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">giuliani.h\u00f6nger.architekten.<\/a> The Japanese term stands for brightness, light and weightlessness and is finding its architectural expression now skilfully in the lantern-shaped arrival hall. Flooded with light during the day, the interior of the hall offers pleasant waiting areas.
