The project comprised the repair of damaged ceilings and floor slabs in the parking garage of the SIA building (built in 1967/1968) at Selnaustrasse 12/16 in Zurich. The parking areas under consideration extend over about half of the floor area of the three basement floors.

The structural elements were rehabilitated in such a way that the corrosion processes were stopped or significantly slowed down. In addition, suitable strengthening measures were taken to restore the structural safety of the structures.

The rehabilitation included the application of a cathodic protection (CP), the full-surface replacement of the no longer functional waterproofing, local reprofiling and fire protection measures for the columns.
