For our office in Madrid, we are looking for a:

Façade Designer – Timber Façades & Timber Construction (m/f/d) 80-100%

Your tasks

• Working on challenging timber façade projects / timber projects
• Creating design documents using 2D and 3D CAD systems – AutoCAD (Athena), optionally cadwork and Revit – as the basis for project development and tendering
• Developing detailed solutions and structural design of building envelopes using timber construction methods in collaboration with architects, specialist planners and industry partners
• Assisting with quantity take-offs when preparing bills of quantities
• Carrying out construction inspections
• Where applicable, use of ‘open BIM’ or ‘closed BIM’

Your profile

• Completed vocational qualification as a Draftsperson / Designer or Timber Technician specialising in timber façades and timber construction, with proven professional experience
• Solid knowledge of using AutoCAD / cadwork CAD software
• Ability to work creatively
• Ideally, some initial experience working on BIM projects
• Strong interest in driving digitalisation and innovation within the construction planning industry
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• Fluent in English; knowledge of Spanish, German, or French is considered an advantage

• Handling challenging façade projects using a wide range of construction types and materials
• Preparation of planning documents with 2D and 3D CAD systems - AutoCad (Athena), optionally Rhino and Revit - as a basis for project development and tendering
• Developing detailed solutions and technical design of building envelopes in collaboration with architects, specialist planners and industry partners
• Support for quantity determination in the preparation of bills of quantities
• Site inspection
• Application of "open BIM" or "closed BIM" where applicable

Your profile

• Successfully completed training/apprenticeship as a facade designer or metal construction designer, with professional experience
• Sound knowledge in the use of CAD software
• Ability to work creatively
• Ideally initial experience in the processing of BIM projects
• Interest in the development of digitalization in the construction planning industry
• Ability to work in a team as well as independently and efficiently
• Fluent in English, good knowledge of Spanish, German or French an advantage
