Architecture Prize Canton of Zurich
The Foundation for Honouring Good Buildings in the Canton of Zurich awarded prizes to exemplary buildings in the canton for the eighth time. With 160 submissions, this year’s award ceremony achieved a new record result. We are therefore even more delighted that the Leutschenbach high-rise complex in Zurich was selected as the winner. Congratulations to the project authors Staufer & Hasler Architekten, von Ballmoos Partner Architekten and mavo Landschaften as well as the clients Leutschenbach AG / Nyffenegger Immobilien AG! We were able to attend the realisation of the “WolkenWerk” as structural engineers. The jury based its decision on the exemplary way in which the complex combines urban density with vibrant diversity and quality of life.
The façade planners from LÜCHINGER MEYER PARTNER also have reason to celebrate. “Their” project for the new extension to the Limmattal cantonal school in Urdorf received one of the four awards. We congratulate our project partners PENZISBETTINI. Architekten, Laterza Graf Baupartner, S2L Landschaftsarchitektur, ingegneri pedrazzini guidotti and the Canton of Zurich Building Department for the second award for this successful project.
