In the case of lightweight steel roofs, uplifting wind loads can cause a significant hazard. The concept of the roof provides tension supports on the outside, which act in compression in the case of uplifting wind loads. The determination of the wind loads by means of CFD analysis led among others to filigree column cross-sections.
