“Silver Rabbit Award” for AVS Aargau
When rabbits and hares appear in the architectural landscape at the end of the year, it can only mean one thing: HOCHPARTERRE is selecting «The Best» of the year. We are delighted that the new building for the Office for Consumer Protection of the Canton of Aargau in Unterentfelden has been awarded the “Silver Rabbit”. Congratulations to our award-winning project partners Markus Schietsch Architects, whom we were privileged to support in structural engineering.
The jury says: «A stable core and a delicate crown. The Office for Consumer Protection of the Canton of Aargau is not a contextual building but stands light-footedly in the park as a logical piece of architecture in its own right. The sensitive laboratories for chemical analysis float in the center as a stable concrete core.
Darunter liegt das Forum, wo sich das Personal trifft. Von oben fällt Tageslicht ins Haus. Die technisch weniger anspruchsvollen Nutzungen schmiegten Markus Schietsch Architekt:innen als Holzbaukranz rundherum. Ganze Baumstämme gliedern die Fassade im ruhigen Takt. Die Balkone dahinter dienen als aussenliegende Fluchtwege. Die Farben changieren von der Fassade bis zum Vorhang exquisit. In dieser Selbstverständlichkeit liegt die Könnerschaft.»
Alle prämierten Projekte aus den Bereichen Architektur, Design und Landschaftsarchitektur können noch bis zum 4. Januar im Museum für Gestaltung Zürich an der Ausstellungsstrasse 60 besichtigt werden.
