Rainy construction site, happy construction site

They say, „Rain on your wedding day means a happy marriage.” Under changeable skies, we laid the first stone of the Quartier Plaisance site in Yverdon-les-Bains. A bottle of Chasselas, the day’s newspaper, and the speakers’ speeches were sealed into the concrete, becoming a permanent part of the project’s foundation. Among the guests were representatives of LÜCHINGER MEYER PARTNER, supporting the project as structural designers.

During the cocktail reception, the client — representing the Interprofessional Pension Fund (FIP) — paid tribute to everyone who made this long-awaited milestone possible. The architects from the RDR office continued the address, encouraging all teams to collaborate closely on a project that is only just beginning. Indeed, the adventure ahead is a long one — approximately 200 meters, the distance between the two ends of the development, which is scheduled for completion in spring 2027.
