Community living, privacy, floor plans that adapt to the phases of life, and functionality formed the design parameters for the cooperative housing project. Social design was an essential part of the sustainable design phase.
The new apartment building was constructed in one single stage. The building consists of a basement, ground floor and five upper floors. The basement is used as a shelter and a storage room for bicycles, while the first floor provides the common rooms. The upper floors contain apartments.
The vertical loads of the concrete structure are transferred through the supporting walls and columns. The continuous walls are used for horizontal bracing.
The apartment partition walls and ceilings as well as the staircase are finished in fair faced concrete quality.
