As part of the overall refurbishment of the existing school swimming facility, which dates from the 1970s, the immediate area of the swimming hall and its side rooms on the first floor and basement were modified. In addition to the energetic optimization of the building envelope, the renovation work mainly included the renewal of the energy technology, the building services, the pool water technology and the internal surfaces as well as the disabled access. The structural engineering tasks mainly contained the restoration of the concrete surfaces in the basement as well as the planning of new openings in the existing supporting structure.
