When someone goes on a journey

…, they have something to tell“ this was not only known to the poet Matthias Claudius, to whom the famous quote is attributed, but was also experienced yesterday by our apprentices, whom we’d like to let speak for themselves here:
“Our first joint apprenticeship trip took us, the civil engineering draughtsman trainees, to the impressive Gonzen mine. As soon as we entered the tunnel, we were immersed in a fascinating underground world and were able to make an exciting connection to our profession.
Equipped with helmets and headlamps, we explored the tunnel and were given an impressive guided tour underground. It was particularly interesting to see how work used to be carried out inside the mountain and how iron ore was extracted back then. Our aim was to learn and discover new things together, which we successfully achieved.”

We are delighted that Louisa, Ginan, Colin, Axel and Ilija, along with their guide Sonja, emerged safely from the tunnel and that their self-organised trip turned out to be such a successful experience!
