There was a lively, festive atmosphere on the outskirts of Zürich-Seebach last Friday. The ‘Dream Team Rohbau’ (in the words of our project manager) celebrated the topping-out ceremony for the Buchwiesen II replacement development. Architects, site managers, civil engineers and façade designers, along with representatives from the main contractor and the civil engineering firm, posed for a group photo on behalf of everyone involved in the project. Their smiles speak volumes – two years after the ‘Buchwiesen halfway point’, the structural work for the second construction phase was completed on schedule, thereby completing the housing estate developed by the Glattal Zurich Building Cooperative.
