The new residential estate at the Eggbühl site joins the existing commercial buildings to enclose a generous inner courtyard. Underground, the new building consists of a structure with up to two basement levels, which are used as parking spaces, technical rooms, shelters and cellar compartments. Above ground, the new building consists of two structures with a ground floor and 6 upper floors. The site offers a broad mix of flats with 2.5 to 5.5 room flats, maisonettes and loft-like studios. Certain parts of the ground floors are also available for commercial use. The load-bearing structure consists of a skeleton construction of concrete slabs as well as walls, prefabricated concrete columns and stiffening cores. The walls are made of masonry or concrete, depending on the requirements of the building physics and statics. The ceiling of the underground car park supports the loads of the façade and is therefore designed as an intercepting ceiling in certain areas.
